Quito

As a pet care professional, it’s my job to make sure your furry ones are safe and comfortable in my hands. I hold my services to a high standard and care for your animals just as I would my own. We’ll work together to find the best combination of services for you and your pet’s needs.

I’m a solo sitter– this means that you and your pets will get to know me personally. There won’t be strangers coming in and out of your home. You can always rely on the same person to understand exactly what your critters need and provide continuity of care.

Safety First: While we all love the adventurous and unpredictable spirit of our (somewhat?) domesticated friends, safety issues are many pet families’ worst nightmare when thinking about a pet sitter. I always conduct my visits and walks with your pet’s safety as #1, and we’ll discuss your home and your pet’s health and habits with this in mind during our consultation. I am First Aid and CPR Certified… just in case!

Comfortable Care: Attuned to the psychological health of your animal family, I want your pets to experience your travel or absence without distress. I try to maintain everyday routines and your little caring touches, especially for kitties and sensitive ones. I am committed to fear- and punishment- free, minimally stressful techniques for handling animals. Your pets should miss you, but not feel afraid. My ideal is a calm, joyful reunion when you return home… and then it’s back to normal!

Best Behavior: To aid in a safe, low-stress experience, I always encourage healthy expression of your pets’ natural behaviors. I use calm, gentle, firm communication and positive-only training techniques with your pets to help facilitate our relationship and redirect from unsafe or unwanted behaviors. If you have reactive, fearful, or “difficult” animals, we’ll always discuss the best plan of action before you commit to travel or my services. I’m always happy to provide referrals for the highest behavioral needs pets.
