Services offered
Kat’s Watching specializes in all things kitty care! A standard 25 to 30 minute visit includes feeding, water changes, litter scooping, and any basic medications or supplements, as well as companionship and/or playtime for up to 3 cats. Daily visits are always customizable to meet your needs, and we’re happy to spend as much time as your pets require. We’re on call to stop by to just deal with that litter box or give your cat meds at that awkward time.
“The Pack”
Dogs, too! Kat’s Watching offers dog walks on a regular or as-needed basis and has dog sitting options for families with and without other pets. Just like our cat sitting options, our dog walks and visits are customizable according to you and your pup’s needs. Whether you’ve got a precious Princess who just needs potty and playtime, or a rambunctious Rambo who needs to rumble, we’ll take care of business for you!
Have a different pet? House rabbits and caged small animals are always welcome. Please inquire before booking services for fish other than goldfish, birds, herps, chickens, or exotic pets.
Sorry, we do not offer boarding at this time.
special services
Kat’s Watching gladly provides in-your-home care for high-needs cats and dogs and has experience with the following chronic care services. Please inquire and schedule a consultation for pets requiring special care at least 72 hours before your travel so we can make sure our services are the best option for your pet. We may need longer lead time to schedule trial services for difficult-to-handle animals or those requiring essential medication or services. We always want to ensure we can safely and consistently provide all needed care and give you time to find boarding options if at-home pet sitting is not right for your family.

kat’s service philosophy
Quito
As a pet care professional, it’s my job to make sure your furry ones are safe and comfortable in my hands. I hold my services to a high standard and care for your animals just as I would my own. We’ll work together to find the best combination of services for you and your pet’s needs.
I’m a solo sitter– this means that you and your pets will get to know me personally. There won’t be strangers coming in and out of your home. You can always rely on the same person to understand exactly what your critters need and provide continuity of care.
Safety First: While we all love the adventurous and unpredictable spirit of our (somewhat?) domesticated friends, safety issues are many pet families’ worst nightmare when thinking about a pet sitter. I always conduct my visits and walks with your pet’s safety as #1, and we’ll discuss your home and your pet’s health and habits with this in mind during our consultation. I am First Aid and CPR Certified… just in case!
Comfortable Care: Attuned to the psychological health of your animal family, I want your pets to experience your travel or absence without distress. I try to maintain everyday routines and your little caring touches, especially for kitties and sensitive ones. I am committed to fear- and punishment- free, minimally stressful techniques for handling animals. Your pets should miss you, but not feel afraid. My ideal is a calm, joyful reunion when you return home… and then it’s back to normal!
Best Behavior: To aid in a safe, low-stress experience, I always encourage healthy expression of your pets’ natural behaviors. I use calm, gentle, firm communication and positive-only training techniques with your pets to help facilitate our relationship and redirect from unsafe or unwanted behaviors. If you have reactive, fearful, or “difficult” animals, we’ll always discuss the best plan of action before you commit to travel or my services. I’m always happy to provide referrals for the highest behavioral needs pets.
